TraumatismeTags : Inflammation Pro-inflammatory cytokines Lubricin Osteoarthritis Joint injury Résumé : Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common form of joint disease. This review aimed to consolidate the current evidence that implicates the inflammatory process in the attenuation of synovial lubrication and joint tissue homeostasis in OA. Moreover, with these findings, we propose some evidence for novel therapeutic strategies for preventing and/or treating this complex disorder. The studies reviewed support that inflammatory mediators participate in the onset and progression of OA after joint injury. The flow of pro-inflammatory cytokines following an acute injury seems to be directly associated with altered lubricating ability in the joint tissue. The latter is associated with reduced level of lubricin, one of the major joint lubricants. Future research should focus on the development of new therapies that attenuate the inflammatory process and restore lubricin synthesis and function. This approach could support joint tribology and synovial lubrication leading to improved joint function and pain relief. MuscleIndex. décimale : QS 4 Anatomie Résumé : "Anatomie" est un ouvrage en quatre tomes : le tronc, l'appareil locomoteur, ORL, neuro-anatomie. Comportant au total 1 700 pages et 1 280 illustrations en couleurs, il réussit un véritable pari pédagogique : il est en effet la traduction écrite de l'enseignement actuellement dispensé aux étudiants en médecine et en spécialité paramédicale, enseignement résolument tourné vers la pratique clinique.
Son originalité réside principalement dans le fait que chaque chapitre est consacré à une région, avec trois volets : la première partie concerne les rappels anatomiques descriptifs indispensables ; la seconde partie, plus clinique, intègre des notions de physiologie et sémiologie indispensables à la connaissance clinique de la région. La troisième partie introduit l'imagerie actuelle locale.
Les textes sont clairs, permettant d'appréhender dès la première lecture l'essentiel des structures anatomiques à retenir.
Les nombreux dessins sont de deux types : des dessins au trait ou à l'aquarelle nécessaires à la représentation tridimensionnelle des régions, regroupés, pour certains, sur de superbes planches en couleurs, et des dessins facilement reproductibles tels que les construisent les professeurs, au tableau noir, devant les étudiants, pendant les cours d'anatomie.
Chaque région est ainsi traitée à deux niveaux : l'anatomie fondamentale pour tout étudiant en médecine comme en spécialité paramédicale (kinésithérapie, infirmière...) et l'anatomie clinique adaptée aux programmes de spécialités où le dessin classique est enrichi de nombreuses radiographies, de scanners, d'IRM et d'échographies.
